Life After Loss Coaching

Find Your Way Forward After Loss

A steady, non-shaming space to tell the truth, feel what is real, and build a way forward.

This is guided grief work in a structured container. We move at a pace your body can trust. We use practical nervous system tools, gentle practices, and meaning-making so you can stay present with what is real without getting overwhelmed.

What We Do Together

  • Build grief literacy. Our society cultivates us to be grief illiterate, to fear aging and death, the distract ourselves through busyness and consumption rather than do the hard work of grieving. We start by teaching what grief actually is, why it’s so hard in Western culture, and the core reframe: grief as a companion on the path forward, not the enemy.
  • Work with the body and nervous system. Through breathwork, somatic practices, and nervous system education, you learn to be with grief without abandoning yourself. We build your capacity to feel what’s real without being overwhelmed.
  • Learn a new way to relate to loss. We build language and practices so loss becomes something you can be with, not something you have to outrun.
  • Work with your specific story, gently. We approach the hard parts in small, workable pieces, and return to steadiness.
  • Integrate what helps into daily life. Between-session practices that are small, repeatable, and sustainable.

What To Expect

A typical session includes:

  • Arrival and grounding
  • Check-in and what is loudest this week
  • One focus for today
  • A gentle practice (opt-in)
  • One small commitment for the week

We meet weekly or bi-weekly for five 60-minute sessions via video call (or in person if you’re in the Denver metro area). Each session creates space to process what’s present, explore practices that support you, and identify next steps.

At the end, you decide what support you want or need next.

Common Questions

Q: Do I have to be religious?

No. My work is spiritual but not prescriptive. We can incorporate faith if that’s meaningful to you, or we can work with practices rooted in the body, nature, and meaning-making without religious language.

Q. Can faith be part of this?”

Yes, if you want it to be. Prayer, scripture, and explicitly Christian language are opt-in and guided by your consent.

Q: What if my loss isn’t a death?

This work is for all kinds of loss: death, divorce, job loss, health changes, identity shifts, dreams that died. Loss shows up whenever something that mattered is gone.

Q: How often do we meet?

Most people start with weekly sessions, then shift to bi-weekly as they build more capacity. We adjust the pace based on what you need and what feels sustainable.

Q: What does breathwork look like?

Simple, accessible practices like box breathing or extended exhales. Nothing performative or intense. Just tools to help your nervous system settle so you can be present with what’s real.

Q: Do you offer deeper or altered state breathwork?

Yes. I offer that as a separate session type. If you are interested, ask during the discovery call and we will discern whether it fits your goals and your current support needs.
